My journey into the world of movement began with my son, who has Ullrich Congenital Muscular Dystrophy. Watching his progress during NeuroMovement lessons opened my eyes to the transformative power of this work. The changes I observed sparked a deep curiosity to explore movement further, eventually leading me to NeuroHorizons Experiential Movement.
NeuroHorizons Experiential Movement is a program that invites participants to experience the principles of movement and learning firsthand. It focuses on developing self-awareness, improving functional capabilities, and opening doors to personal growth and new possibilities.
As both a parent and an athlete, these experiences have been life-changing. They’ve taught me to slow down, appreciate the present, and approach parenting with greater mindfulness. Instead of constantly doing for my son, I now observe him with curiosity, giving him the space to discover his own path. This shift has brought us a sense of freedom, independence, and connection we didn’t have before.
My work with the special needs community has reinforced my belief that opportunities are boundless, no matter the challenges a person may face. This conviction fuels my passion for helping others uncover their potential and explore new possibilities.
I live in Concord, California, with my husband and our two boys. When I’m not working or learning, you’ll find me spending time with my family, running, working out, or experimenting with allergy-friendly recipes in the kitchen.
Lesson Intensives are immersive, short-term programs designed to help children, adults and athletes achieve greater movement awareness, neural integration, and adaptability. Through multiple sessions over days or weeks, participants can engage deeply with this practice, fostering noticeable changes in movement patterns and nervous sytem responses.
We connect directly with each child's nervous system, utilizing sensory and kinesthetic experiences to promote engagement and exploration.
This service is designed to cultivate new "neural networks" and "maps," igniting curiosity and fostering growth in a supportive and interactive environment. By addressing movement and functional gaps, these sessions help nurture development and adaptability, personalized to each childs unique journey.
Adult and Athlete Intensives focus on refining self-awareness, enhancing, performance, and unlocking breakthroughs in movement and functionality. These sessions provide valuable insights to support long-term well-being and optimized performance.

Zinzele is a brilliant NeuroHorizons Experiental Movement Mentor who formed a special bond with my 14-year-old son, Leroy. Leroy, who has autism and an intellectual disability, can often be challenging to engage—but Zinzele’s focus, creativity, and skill made all the difference. Through her gentle and imaginative approach, she guided Leroy in a way that sparked his curiosity and enthusiasm during their movement lessons. We noticed positive changes, for example when Leroy would want to independently make his bed, a behavior we hadn’t seen before. We’re grateful for the transformative impact Zinzele has had on Leroy through her work!"

The NeuroHorizons lessons that my daughter has received from Zinzele has helped her become more aware of her body and surroundings. She is also sleeping better at night and her eating has improved significantly.
